This week’s tip is about using a mantra.

Negative emotions, especially if you are nervous about something, can be difficult to control and will impact performance holding you back. These emotions cause anxieties which will ultimately show through to the people you are dealing with. Using a mantra can help you to control these negative emotions!

Mantras are from Eastern religions and as an example, are used by many sports people to improve performance. I use my mantra on the way to an event, saying over and over “light up the room, light up the room” to mask any negative emotions and replace them with confidence.

You will need to identify and practice your mantra, but once you have, it can prove very effective.
