Your weekly top tip to improve your wellbeing from Yellow Brick Road

This week’s tip is about being less sedentary – aka finding ways to move more. We all know we need to be more active, but there is increasing evidence that we also need to spend less time sitting down.

There are some simple solutions which won’t greatly interrupt your day, such as, taking a walk (plenty of research has borne out the health benefits of a daily 30-minute walk), take the stairs, just stand up rather than sitting at your desk, wash the dishes, get up from the sofa during advert breaks on the TV, go for a run, spruce up the garden, or even park further away from your work and walk!

If you can do many or all of the above, you will be well on your way to staying fit and feeling more energised, which is key for lifelong health.
